Are you using linked content titles? You should! In this part 4 of our Joomla SEO guide I'll explain why this is important to do for a better internal linking structure.

You know links counts in SEO, you probably also knows that a good link text is better than a bad one, but did you know that if you have more than one link on a page, to the same url Google rates only the first link text . This does not have so much to do with our linked titles, but it's nice to know, when you build your internal links.

Joomla SEO Part 3 - Better content titles

It's time for part 3 of our Joomla SEO guide. Today we are giving our content titles a tune up, and once again we are using sh404SEF to do the job. As many of you already know H1 titles weigh much more than regular content, and a standard Joomla installation doesn't use H1 for your content titles.

And always remeber to get your primary keyword(s) in your title, and better in the beginning then in the end of the title. If you haven't installed the sh404SEF component already, then now it's the time to do it, but first - make a cloned version of your site first and test there before you go live.

Joomla SEO Part 2 - Search Engine Friendly URL's and the use of title alias

This is part 2 of our Joomla SEO guide. Today we will be looking at search friendly URL's also known as SEF URL's. SEF URL's is a positive "sideeffect" but worth a few words about.

By installing a component like sh404SEF you also get friendly URL's and although they don't provide much SEO value, they do create a usability value for your visitors, and you get links in Google SERP's that look a lot better. This could have a positive effect on the "click through rate" to your website. Another bennefit if you use 3. party statistics like Google Analytics is, you'll be able to identify your pages easily.
